If yours isn't here, send it over and it probably will be.
How much does ConstantUrgency cost?
One person is free forever, with every feature included. Each additional person in your organization is $9.99 a month. A team of five pays for four seats, which is $39.96 a month. There is no contract and you can add or remove seats at any time.
Is there a free plan?
Yes. On your own it is free permanently — not a trial. You only pay when you bring somebody else onto your list, and no card is needed until then.
How do I pay?
By card through Stripe, by PayPal, or through Google Play if you use the Android app. Card details go directly to Stripe and never touch our server.
What happens if a payment fails?
You get seven days of grace with everything still working, and an email about it. After that the extra seats pause. Nothing is ever deleted — your tasks stay where they are, the list keeps working for one person, and everything returns as soon as the payment goes through.
Who counts as a person for billing?
Anyone with active access to your list. People waiting for approval do not count until you approve them, and removing somebody frees their seat immediately. An invitation you have sent but nobody has accepted holds a seat so you are never caught short.
What happens to a task I don't finish today?
It appears on tomorrow's list automatically, labelled with how many days it has been carried. You don't have to move it, rewrite it, or do anything at all. It keeps counting until you check it off or delete it.
How do I get alerts about urgent tasks?
Set a task to priority 5, which marks it critical. Then in the Alerts tab choose your channels — email, text message, pop-up — the time of your first alert each day, and how often it repeats until the task is done. Email and text alerts are sent by the server, so they arrive whether or not you have the page open.
Can several people use the same list?
Yes. The list belongs to an organization, and everyone in it works from the same tasks. Changes appear within seconds and each task records who wrote it and who closed it.
Can I stop people from deleting things?
Yes. There are three access levels. Admins can do everything; standard users can add, edit, reprioritise and check tasks off but never delete; view-only users can read and export but change nothing. Admins set each person's level.
How do I register?
Choose Create an account on the sign-in screen, then either start a new organization — which makes you its admin — or join an existing one by name. You confirm your email address, and if you are joining an existing organization an admin approves you before you can see the list.
I forgot my password. What now?
Use the Forgot your password? link on the sign-in screen. Enter your email address and a one-time reset link is sent to you; it works once and expires after an hour. An admin in your organization can also send you one.
Can one task wait for another to be finished?
Yes. Use Depends on to mark which tasks must finish first. A blocked task sorts below your actionable work and can't be checked off until its blockers are done — then it tells you it's ready to start.
Can I get my data out?
Any time, in three formats: a JSON backup that can be loaded straight back in, a CSV for spreadsheets, and a plain text file. Backups contain your tasks, categories, dependencies and history, and never anyone's password.
Is there a mobile app?
It's a website, so it works in any modern phone browser with a layout built for small screens. You can also add it to your home screen, where it behaves like an installed app.
Does it work if two people edit the same task at once?
Yes. Edits are merged per task, and the most recent edit to a given task wins rather than one person's whole view overwriting another's. In practice two people working on different tasks never collide at all.
What is a carried task?
Any task that was written on an earlier day and still isn't finished. ConstantUrgency shows the count in days next to it, marks the left edge of the row in orange, and totals them at the top of your list.
